Our clients wanted to transform their existing home to create a generous, light-filled space better connected to the garden. A substantial rear extension provides an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with large areas of glazing opening the house onto the surrounding greenery. Upstairs, the extension creates additional accommodation within two contemporary gables, finished in dark standing-seam cladding to provide a clear contrast with the original house. A continuous covered terrace ties the new spaces together and creates a sheltered transition between inside and out.
